ORANGE CHIFFON CAKE

INGREDIENTS
2 cups of Maisha Home Baking Flour
2 tsps baking powder
¾ cup caster sugar
½ tsp salt
2 tbsps orange zest
6 egg yolks
¾ cup sunflower oil
½ cup orange juice
1 tsp vanilla extract
7 egg whites
⅓ cup caster sugar

PREPARATION
Sieve 2 cups of maisha home baking flour into a mixing bowl
Add two tsps of baking powder, ¾ cup of caster sugar, ½ tsp salt, and 2 tbsps of orange zest into the flour mixture and mix well.
Add 6 egg yolks , ¾ cup sunflower oil, ½cup orange juice,and 1 tsp vanilla extract and mix again.
In a separate bowl beat the 7 egg whites to soft peaks
Add ⅓ cup caster sugar into the egg white mixture then beat to stiff peaks.
Add the egg whites mixture to the flour mixture and mix well.
Bake at 180°for 40-45 minutes.
Once ready, garnish with orange slices and serve with your favourite drink.
