Our story

Maisha Flour Mills Ltd. started as a small family business in 1993 with only a handful of staff and vehicles, having taken over a mill which had been closed for some time. Over time the company has evolved from a humble family business into a professionally managed organization that is highly respected in it's field of operation, but still upholds family values,

Maisha Flour Mills Ltd prides in its use of the best machinery and the choicest wheat varieties to produce the best flours.

With a lot of hard work from our dedicated staff and management we now operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, processing well over 100 Tonnes of wheat a day. Directly employing about 85 highly motivated staff and indirectly employing 1000's more within the agricultural and services sector of Kenya's vast economy.

The mill is located approximately 160 km from Nairobi, in Kiganjo, Nyeri District within the beautiful and celebrated Mt. Kenya region. The mill is literally a stones throw away from the illustrious Mt. Kenya and the luscious golden wheat lands of Timau.

Our staff which consists of highly qualified millers, maintenance engineers and sales managers (and many more) will always ensure a product of the highest possible quality and will always ensure that the service provided to all our clientele will always be of the utmost excellence.

Not only is the production that is important, but equally important is our fleet of delivery vehicles. We have invested heavily into purchasing a reliable and efficient fleet of vehicles that meet to our exact requirements, to make sure our produce reaches our clients fast, efficiently and most importantly safely!
